3D Landmarks are 3D representations of distinctive point of interests, built to a set level of detail. More than 200 landmarks across Australia and New Zealand are currently available including major tourist attractions, sporting stadiums and Government buildings.
Each model is constructed in a 3D application called 3D Studio Max with textures derived from aerial oblique photography. Photography is usually captured at ground level by digital camera or by air using helicopters or light wing aircraft The resulting 3D model is built to real world scale and orientation and each is available in a variety of 3D formats.
