Highly detailed reference models, 2D Urban Contextual Models are considered to be areas of significance in the context of population and or location. Designed to form a backdrop layer in in-car and portable navigation devices, they provide the user with more detail for the innercity regions of major urban areas and also include such features as roads, railways, footpaths and crossings, buildings, water features and parks.
Product Features
- 14 city models available across Australia and New Zealand
- Each 2D Urban Contextual Model is made up of four polygon layers enabling different levels of detailed to be viewed
- Model layer forms the basis and is always displayed with the lowest hierarchy
- Complex layer is a generalised collection of similarly categorised features within a certain vicinity of each other
- Feature layer contains the majority of buildings, water features, parks etc
- Transportation layer contains all transport features, such as roads, rail and pedestrian features, and associated infrastructure such as railway stations and bus stops.
- Road names have been removed
