StreetNet Routable

StreetNet Routable is a navigation map database with highly detailed information about the Australian road network.

This digital (vector) street centreline dataset is designed to be integrated into a variety of software and hardware environments requiring navigation information, to provide a geographical framework for business applications.

How does StreetNet Routable work?

StreetNet Routable is a database, so GIS or mapping software is required to view or manipulate the map content. It is built to comply with open, international standards, and can be easily loaded into a range of specialist applications.

StreetNet Routable formats

StreetNet Routable is available in the following formats:

  • ESRI Shapefiles (.SHP) or interchange format (.E00)
  • MapInfo Tables (.TAB) or interchange format (.MID/.MIF)

StreetNet Routable projection and datum

Maps can be provided in either geographic coordinates (Latitude/Longitude) or AMG (metres). The AGD66, AGD84 or GDA94 datums are available for compatibility with other digital maps, or the WGS84 datum may be specified where GPS-compatibility is required.
