StreetNet Display

StreetNet Display is a map database with detailed information about the Australian road network.

This digital (vector) street centreline dataset has the same geometry and accuracy as StreetNet Routable, but with all navigation attributes (e.g. turn restrictions and bridges / tunnels) removed. This makes it a smaller dataset that generally loads faster.

It is designed to be easily integrated into a variety of software and hardware environments to provide a geographical framework for business applications.

What are the features of StreetNet Display?

StreetNet Display features include:

  • Highly accurate and up-to-date map data for your business needs
  • Approximately 245,000km of roads with address ranges for geocoding
  • Smaller file size than StreetNet Routable so it loads more quickly
  • Ideal for integration with GPS applications, e.g. for tracking or call centre uses
  • Compatible with industry standard mapping and GIS software
  • Context layers are included, such as land usage (e.g. waterways, parks) and building footprints
  • Flexible pricing based on application, number of users and extent of coverage

What are the main uses for StreetNet Display?

StreetNet Display is ideal for:

  • Geocoding
  • Vehicle tracking
  • Vehicle dispatch
  • Map display
  • Proof-of-delivery
  • Corporate and government GIS
  • Intranet and extranet applications

How often is the map data updated?

Maps are updated at least once per year to ensure that data remains current.

How does StreetNet Display work?

StreetNet Display is a database, so GIS or mapping software is required to view or manipulate the map content. It is built to comply with open, international standards, and can be easily loaded into a range of specialist applications.
